I joined the veterinary field in the late 1990’s. I got my start at an emergency and referral center in Ottawa, my hometown. A few years later I moved to Toronto where I have mainly worked at Bloorcourt Veterinary Clinic, Roncy Village Veterinary Clinic and now Annex Animal hospital. I have enjoyed my roles as a technician, office manager and practice manager. My biggest focus over the past decade has been providing training and mentorship for people that are newer to the field or want to improve their confidence and skills. From a medical perspective I am most drawn to surgery and palliative care.
At home I have four cats, and four more have come and gone living their best lives with two adults who love cats more then anything else. With a musician husband I get opportunities to travel and see great live music, I also love stand up comedy, and long walks. Each year I look forward to spending some days at the PURR Project rescue shelter in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, helping them with feeding, cleaning, assessing and treating the cats on site with Dr Eva and other volunteers. My bio pic is with one of their 200+ cats that they have at the shelter at any given moment. My cat Rio is from Purr Project, Ali is from Annex Cat Rescue, Louie is from AVA cat rescue and Rolly is from Home at Last.
