Dr. Shreya Bahl
Dr. Shreya Bahl Veterinarian

Born in India, Dr. Shreya’s adventurous childhood began in Kenya, where she lived until she was 9. There, she discovered her love for swimming, explored the beauty of the wild on safaris with her parents, and traveled to iconic spots like the Masai Mara and Mombasa Beach. She even picked up a bit of Swahili during her time there!

Returning to India, Dr. Shreya grew up as an avid swimmer, competing at district-level swimming competitions and earning multiple medals in butterfly stroke. Her academic journey took her to the scenic hills of India, where she pursued her Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc & A.H). Those years were filled with hiking, learning about a variety of animals—dogs, cats, cows, horses, and even fish—and igniting her passion for veterinary medicine.

She then completed her Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc) in pathology, focusing her research on canine mammary and genital tumors. After her master's, she gained hands-on experience in Delhi, working for two years at a diagnostic center where she reviewed X-rays and ultrasounds for small animal clinics.

Next, she moved to Mumbai and thrived in a bustling 24-hour clinic, providing exceptional care for dogs and cats. During this time, she also cleared her NAVLE, marking a major milestone in her career.

In 2022 she completed a six-month long observer ship with a board-certified locum small animal surgeon in Surrey,  British Columbia.

Dr. Shreya’s love for the hills drew her back to Ooty, where she worked with a UK-based NGO. Here, she trained vets from across India and the UK in spay surgeries while managing both in-patient and out-patient care at the clinic. Her passion for continuous learning also took her to Costa Rica, where she prepared for her licensing journey, and later to Saskatoon, where she completed her practical licensing exams in December 2024.

Currently, Dr. Shreya is expanding her expertise in dental surgery and radiology. She’s passionate about empowering pet owners with knowledge  regarding preventative care, oral health and behaviour. She loves staying updated with the latest in veterinary medicine, and chatting with clients about their furry family members.

Known for her fun, kind, and curious nature, Dr. Shreya loves connecting with pet parents, empowering vets, and staying updated on the latest in veterinary care. When she’s not working, she’s out exploring, trying new food, crafting, painting or enjoying animated movies. A dog lover charmed by cats, she’s dedicated to making pets’ lives happier and healthier!
