Jill Whitfield


Jill Whitfield
Hospital Manager

Jill graduated from Centralia Agricultural College as an animal health technician in 1985. She has nearly 30 years of experience in the veterinary profession, and worked as the head technician at Annex for 10 years, and has been hospital manager for the past 10 years. Jill loves working with the terrific team of dedicated staff members at a progressive hospital, and she loves working with pets and providing the care they require.

Jill has dedicated most her life to the care of animals, and has rescued many pets over the years including a budgie, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Jill recently adopted a scruffy rescue terrier named Jackson. He often keeps her company in the office at work.

Jill spends much of her spare time on long walks in the local Toronto parks with her husband and Jackson as well as baking, cake decorating, reading and camping. Jill also enjoys participating in annual fundraiser events for pet cancer research.

Sherri Moulton

Sherri Moulton
Front Office Manager

Sherri has been with us since the summer of 2007 and has over 10 years experience in the veterinary field. She earned an Honours B.A in Philosophy as a mature student and enjoys continual learning.

Sherri’s lived with a variety of animal friends over the years including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, mice, birds, rabbits, snakes, and even a skunk. Currently she has no pets but she’s looking forward to sharing her home with a rescue dog in the future.

She enjoys meeting the great clients and pets we have at Annex Animal Hospital and managing our VIP Pet Club online store. Sherri believes that good customer service includes dynamic learning and continual improvements so she’s always interested in hearing from clients about their hospital experiences.

When she’s not at work, Sherri loves reading, hiking and camping in Algonquin Park, and discovering great vegan and raw vegan recipes.

Mariana Pinto

Marianna Pinto
Client Care Representative

Marianna is a client care representative here at Annex Animal Hospital, and has several years of working in the veterinary field in Toronto in both clinical and laboratory settings. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Guelph, and holds a diploma of technology in renewable resources, fish, wildlife, and recreation.

Marianna loves working with the dedicated veterinarians who practice quality medicine, and the great staff members who work well together and put the animal’s welfare above all else.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, movies, and wolves and has volunteered at a wildlife research park and helped hand-raise wolf pups.

Marianna has two cats - Colin Feral – a once feral cat, who is now an apartment cat who enjoys having his teeth brushed every day, and a kitten named Bikini.

Jessica joined our team recently after spending some time traveling overseas. She graduated from Seneca College in 2008, and has over 10 years of veterinary experience. Jessica loves seeing new puppies and kittens and watching them grow, and learning new things about veterinary medicine.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys travelling, snowboarding, and exploring the city. She recently adopted a cute rescue dog named Margaux.

Victoria joined the Annex Animal Hospital team winter of 2015 after graduating from Sheridan College's Veterinary Technician program with high honors. Victoria has always devoted her life to the well-being of living creatures. Previously Victoria has worked or volunteered at other hospitals, shelters, zoo's, the Canadian Animal Blood Bank, racetrack, and stables. Currently, Victoria volunteers with the Toronto Street Cats promoting and participating in the stray spay/neuter programs taking place at the Toronto Humane Society. Victoria particularly enjoys ensuring patient care and comfort. She has a special interest in the study of diagnostics, animal behavior, preventative health care.

Victoria’s pet family consists of 3 cats, a tarantula, and a pair of axolotls. She looks forward to watching everyone in her family grow and adding more members in need of help. Her other activities include multi-platform gaming, photography, psychology, and the arts.

Venessa joined our team in the spring of 2016. She has many valuable years of experience working in private veterinary clinics, animal shelters, emergency clinics and referral medicine. She has been interested in veterinary medicine since high school and she has been rescuing cats her entire life!

Venessa graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2012. She has also achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in English language and literature from Brock University. Her special interests within the veterinary field include surgery, anesthesia, and low stress handling for cats. In her spare time Venessa enjoys spending time with her diabetic kitty, Percy, and her chinchilla named Dorian Grey. She also enjoys reading, exercise, watching movies, and relaxing at the family cottage.

Rebecca Williams

Rebecca Williams, Veterinary Assistant

Rebecca began her animal health career volunteering as an assistant for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the United Kingdom. After graduating from university in England, Rebecca relocated to the west coast of Canada and then Toronto. She is still adjusting to our chilly, snowy winters.

Rebecca joined our team in November 2016. She has a double role in our hospital working as a veterinary assistant and a client care specialist. In her spare time she keeps busy by exploring the historical and cultural sites in the city and spending time with her family.

Glenda Adair-Groomer

There is no such thing as a bad hair day when your dog is in Glenda’s hands. Glenda, aka, the dog whisperer, has been making our local dogs look beautiful for over 25 years. Glenda discovered her affinity for animals while growing up with many pets on the east coast of Canada. Lucky for us, she moved to Toronto and began working as a groomer in local veterinary hospitals. Glenda shares her family home with two beautiful cats named Auto and Houdini.
